Back to School already??
How is it that our summer is already gone? It seems like it just began! We are officially on day three of our school year already. So far so good. We chose to go with Abeka Academy again this year, it just seems to be the right fit for our family. It is kind of nice getting back into a routine, and I hear less ‘Mom, I’m bored’, and there is less fighting amongst the kids, so I guess I should be thankful, but I just love summer so much!
On another note, I have had quite a few little ones photo shoots lately and have loved every minute of it, the kids have been so good and have loved having their pictures taken as much as I have loved taking them. I also have had some fun shoots with my girls, they just love trying new things and having their pics taken.
Craziest week of the year……….
Well this week is Dance Recital week, aka, craziest week of the year. A week full of trying to finish up our last week of school and rehearsals everyday this week. Don’t get me wrong, I love every minute of it. I love seeing the girls dressed up in their costumes having so much fun doing what they both love doing so much! I added a little extra stress to the week by scheduling a vacation for the hubby and I to Santa Monica for next week, so now I am trying to pack everyone and get ready for that as well. We have never gone on a vacation together just the two of us since the kids were born, so since this year we are celebrating out 15th anniversary we decided it was time. The kids are finally old enough, and healthy enough that I feel comfortable leaving them for a few days. I am so looking forward to our time together! I have spent the day trying to get costumes and make-up all together for dress rehearsal tomorrow. I created the best thing ever to keep Blondie organized and help her through all of her quick changes. I took a tall rubbermaid drawer cart and attached it to a luggage cart, then I use the top drawer for all of the make-up and hair items she needs, then I label the other drawers with all of the songs that she is doing and put the costume and accessories in that drawer. I also print off a list of every song and how she needs her hair and make-up and tape it to the top of the cart so she knows what she needs for each song. It works so well for her, and so far she has been able to keep things together and get through those quick changes wonderfully.
I am really looking forward to next week in Santa Monica. I have never been to California, so not sure what to expect. Any advice on things to do or things not to miss would be appreciated!

So I have taken a couple of new pics of Blondie and thought I would post them on here for a little constructive criticism.
